Three reasons why ALL professionals need to write a book

  • Builds confidence

  • Gives you credibility

  • Establish yourself as a go-to expert in your field

Writing a book, even to a seasoned novelist, can seem like a daunting task. Not because the finished product is not worth it, but because of the time and dedication we generally attach to getting a book done. My niche in business sort of just fell into my lap. I had been helping people with writing books for some time and recently realized they were mostly professionals and business owners. It became more apparent to me that those who are in the process of branding themselves felt creating a book was the next logical step.

These professionals desired something tangible their clients could use to gain better insight into them and their business.

Building confidence is a major side effect related to completing a book project. Whether it is a sixty-page e-book or a four hundred-page novel, the feeling of completion instills a certain level of excitement and pride (the good kind). The confidence then transfers over into the services they provide for their clients. They become clear on their offerings and clear on why they feel their business is so important.

Credibility is a huge part of building a brand or business. Credibility is shown in customer reviews, quality websites and the availability of a book or blog. Clients see you as a person or business they can trust. With so many options related to businesses and services, consumers want to be sure that they are choosing someone that will do what they say, charge a reasonable price and be available for future questions and consultations. Clients want to feel that they can depend on you.

Establishing yourself as a go-to expert is next-level branding. After people understand that you are credible and competent, becoming an expert is only natural. An expert is the boss, they make things happens. They not only adapt to changes in their industry, they also set the standard and develop the latest trends. This brand or business is at the front of the line and their clients want a piece of that. They want to know that they are working with the best of the best. They want to know that you would hire yourself if you had the chance. A book or blog generates this level of energy and excitement around your brand. You are not only an owner but you become a creator in the eyes of your clients.

Whether you are looking to brand yourself or are in the process of building your business, a book is a good idea. It is merely one spoke in a sturdier wheel, which has become an industry standard for those who are looking for astronomical growth.
