Say a little prayer…

Happy New Year Beautiful People!

I have been enjoying a much-needed hiatus from blogging, vlogging and social media to finish the edits on my upcoming book, White Spaces, and to work on my PhD. But enough about that, I want to talk a little bit today about trust, about trusting that our prayers really do provide clarity in our lives. I was telling some friends the other day that before I allow new people into my life, take a job or a financial leap, I say a short prayer that usually focuses on being okay with not having something if it is not a good fit in my life.

We don’t have all of the details about the happenings in our lives at any given moment, like; who is looking out for us, when our next major life change will occur or the aspects of our lives that will change on their own, without our provocation. Since I know I’m working with very limited information, and that I don’t control the big picture, my little prayer for clarity and discernment has never failed to provide me with exactly what I ask for; not just what I want, but what’s best for me, my children and my overall peace.
