Good morning, Ms. Ra’oof,

Thank you for your recent appearance at the Dallas County Community College District African-American Read In. Your communication and presentation skills are impeccable and it is always such a pleasure to have you on program as a guest speaker.

Thank you as well for sharing your books with our audience and for reading excerpts of your written work. The self-help tips you share with audiences are no doubt changing lives and we were fortunate to have you on program. Not only would we recommend you as a presenter for other events, we also applaud you for your great work and look forward to seeing you again.

Good morning Jameelah first of all, let me thank you for the wonderful video that you sent. I viewed it this morning and it was such a blessing to me and I believe that it will be a blessing to the other ladies of Divas With a Purpose. I am so glad that I tapped into you. I will be trying to follow you and whatever else you're trying to do in life you were very encouraging to me. Let me say, I was moved by everything you said. I pray that this leads into something else for you.  Thanks

Ms. Ra’oof, I applaud you! When I tell you your story had me feeling “some kind of way”; that’s an understatement. Thank you for sharing this privilege with me. I got Olivia; I understood her, oh too well. There were things that happened that actually brought tears to my eyes. Maybe I related? I don’t know. Maybe I finally understood and felt Olivia’s pain. I don’t know. There were things happening that caught me off guard! I loved that!!!!!! I actually made noises out loud! I wish I could remember everything, but I loved when Marissa said she couldn’t let Mr. Lowe go because SHE was in love with him. I absolutely love this story of redemption.

Stayed up from yesterday evening until 4:30 this morning because I just had to finish this book by @ProfessorJam. A great read and also somewhat reminiscent of my own experiences in some places

Author Jameelah Ra’oof‘s novel,’Low Places’ captures what most could relate to but afraid to admit because of feelings of not being good enough for a person. I love the way the book captured my attention throughout the readings and allowed me to reflect at my own issues and why we tolerate as much as we do as women! Can’t wait to read more of her work, two words ,”LOVED IT”!!!!!
