Five Benefits of a Quality Fitness Routine

I have always been the type of person to do some sort of fitness a few times a week. One of my favorite physical endeavors is yoga. I also like jogging and walking. For a while I only wanted to work out outdoors and then a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to tone up and I found myself in a gym. I have been anti-gym for so long that it still feels strange to go inside. But its worth it and here’s why:

  1. A reason to start my day early. Getting up to work out at 7am each morning makes each day feel endless. I have so much more time since I’m taking advantage of those morning hours.

  2. I’m sharper than usual. Thee is a certain amount of clarity associated with a good workout at the beginning of the day. It stops me from dragging myself around like my body is a mental burden.

  3. Of course, I’m losing weight. This is not super important to me. But it does allow me to eat something that’s fattier than I usually would without adding extra pounds. If anything, my workout cancels it out.

  4. In general, it motivates me to eat better. Although you could workout just to eat the food you want. One of the funniest things is that you rarely still want junk food. I gravitate towards salads and soups with lots of water. I feel lighter and full of energy.

  5. Confidence is big. Since I have been toning up and gaining more clarity, I feel invincible. I feel like any challenge that’s comes my way can be handled. Even if it knocked me down, I’m strong enough to get back up as many times as necessary.

Hopefully this inspires you to add a regular workout plan to your life if you aren’t already doing it. I want to age well and enjoy my temple, instead of letting it imprison me. The mind works better when the body is strong and healthy!

Love,
