There is always a reason NOT to do something

Our minds are funny little machines. When they sense discomfort or something unknown, they don’t like it. The mind wants so badly to be efficient and have the answers for every probability beforehand, and this is hard if we are walking into unknown territory. Meaning, we don’t have prior knowledge. This can be a good thing. Since we have no way of creating a conclusion, this leaves us open to new possibilities and an openness only available to us when we are doing something we’ve never done before.

.

There is ALWAYS a reason NOT to do something. If you run your plans by someone they will willing join you in a “what can go wrong” session. Its not a terrible thing to understand the possible outcomes, but don’t let fear of something going wrong stop you from trying something new altogether. I can think of a million reasons why I shouldn’t be traveling solo with my babies but I can also think of a million reasons why I should. I can think of a million reasons why I might not become an Amazon.com best-selling author, but I can also think of a million reasons why I will, and so forth and so on. Show your children your courage and they will make you even more courageous, and more willing to try something new or travel to places you've never been.

.

Focus on the “why” and all the amazing possibilities in order to take the necessary steps to follow your passion. I find if we think about what can go right, those positive possibilities find us more frequently. It’s as if opening the door to positive outcomes makes me a perfect vessel for them to occur.

Happy Saturday beautiful people! Enjoy your families and friends today!
