Give Something Away Every Day

I know you’ve heard many times that whatever we put out there we tend to get back, but what does that really mean? I’ve heard it referred to as karma and through the cliché yet powerful metaphor, “what goes around comes around”. This statement is often laced with some level of doom and gloom, but I tend to think that it applies most often to putting beauty out into the world if you want to receive beauty in return. This doesn’t mean the people you give something to will be the exact people to return the favor but universal intelligence or as some refer to as God or the universe, is always keeping score.

I listened to an audio book the other day, or over a few days, called “You are a Bad #ss at Making Money”. While I consider myself a hustler in every since of the word, I feel there is always room for improvement. In this book, the author said look at any place in your life that you wish to improve and give whatever it is you think you want in return. You want to receive more smiles and good mornings, give those out. You want to receive more positive feedback, give some away. You want to receive more money, give away some money every day. It was a reminder that life is like a boomerang always waiting for an indication of what you want to flow freely into your space.

So I give away smiles with ease, I give others the benefit of the doubt because I graciously appreciate when it is given to me, I call and visit my parents because I want my children to always remember me and I throw out a few extra dollars here and there, each day, just to be sure I’m acknowledging the abundance I already possess and want to continue to experience.

Give what you want to receive freely, and it will return to you, tenfold.
