Why we use affirmations...

When I set out to create a new project that would compliment my book Stop Waiting! and the gratitude journal; I decided that positive affirmations are the most logical next step. Through gratitude we clear our minds of the mostly negative pattern of viewing life occurrences as either all bad or all good. With gratitude, we find that all things are responsible for where we stand today, so if there are aspects of our lives we love, we begin to understand that they would not exist without everything that has occurred in our lives. A healthy choice is to find gratitude in all things.

Then we move onto creating a practice that replaces those former negative thoughts and thought patterns with words that are empowering and uplifting. We might tell ourselves that we are happy and whole, even if we don’t have the tangible proof of this yet. In our hearts and minds, we know that admitting to ourselves that we desire to be happy and whole is the first step in manifesting our truth.

There are three main ingredients that go into designing the life we choose:

1. Deciding what we want and asking for it. (desire)

2. Believing that what you truly desire is possible and that your creator is happy to give it to you. (faith)

3. Feeling gratitude for what you have asked for, as if you already have it. (gratitude)

Ask, believe and be thankful, and affirmations are a strong component in all three steps.

“Stop Waiting! Little Book of Affirmations” is set to be released April 1st, 2018. In this book I cover 17 major areas of our lives, like money, love, career, etc. providing 25 affirmations for each. I explain what affirmations are, why we need them, and how to use them. I am grateful for the opportunity to share these tools and how they have expanded my life. My hope is that my books will continue to inspire, educate and heal.

LOVE,

Jameelah
