“Life…it’s a great opportunity…enjoy it!

So, I’m dropping my girls off at their granny’s before I make the commute to head to my evening class. I was rambling about the hour drive and that I wouldn’t be home until after ten at night. Not complaining, just doing inventory of what the rest of my day would entail.
Just before the little one closed the car door, she shouted in her happy voice, “Have fun at school, it’s a great opportunity, enjoy it!” First, I was taken aback by the level of wisdom in her comment and the casual manner in which she tossed out life altering advice. And then I got excited about going to class and making the drive too. I felt chosen in that moment, tapped for greatness, worthy and grateful. She truly shifted my mindset with only a few short words. Helping me remember that life in general is a GREAT opportunity and that we should all be enjoying every minute of it.
It is so easy to get caught up in the petty, unimportant events of our day; somebody driving too slow in front of us, a co-worker who is never nice, children that are bratty, having to cook dinner after working all day, etc. I could really go on all day with that, but the alternative is to not be here at all, to not participate in this journey we call life. These are just distractions, standing in front of your truth.
Every moment is an opportunity; an opportunity for growth, for happiness, for forgiveness, for peace, for freedom, for love, for truth, for abundance, for gratitude, etc. I could go on all day with this too. Smile…you’re here, you’re healthy, you’re smart, you’re capable, you’re chosen and you’re worthy.
So, to expand upon the very wise words of my 8-year-old guru, “Life…it’s a great opportunity…enjoy it!
